Monday 23rd November sees the start of national Cat Welfare Week and to celebrate this momentous occasion, CEVA Animal Health and Cats Protection are inviting you to come and join in with a Cat Nap in Old Spitalfields Market, London at 1pm (map)
Cat Welfare Week is dedicated to raising awareness of the factors that may cause harm or distress to cats through physical, mental or environmental changes. By highlighting issues such as feline stress, the project hopes to remind owners what actions and traits are simply normal feline behaviour and which could be the symptoms of something more sinister.
Renowned for their napping abilities, cats quite often instil jealousy into the hearts of their owners who, at times, would love to do nothing more than curl up in a ball and have a sleep halfway through the day. Thanks to Cat Welfare Week, you too can now enjoy the benefits of a quick snooze! If you live or work in London then stop by our Cat Nap tent situated in Hyde Park to get that all-important 40 winks. Grab your friends and colleagues and drift off to the land of nod in your lunch break. Alternatively, if you don’t fancy a nap but just want to relax, pop in for a cup of tea and take part!
If you can’t get down to see us, then join in with the fun at home, school or at the office. Cat Welfare Week is encouraging the whole nation to indulge in a sneaky cat nap in return for a charitable donation of £1 which will help Cats Protection find new homes for thousands of unwanted and abandoned cats across the country.
Go on; help us to break the world record for the UK’s Biggest Cat Nap!
